Proofing Weave Exits

This lesson is on proofing weave exits. Specifically, the ability to run around the exit or “push” the exit prior to the dog exiting the poles. This can be a very useful skill in creating more weave independence which, ultimately, leads to more handling choices!

Essentially, if your dog is in their weave poles, and they truly understand their criteria to complete the weaves even if the handler is crossing the exit of the poles, you could run past the exit in a serpentine position, a push, a blind cross, or even go around the poles and move back toward the entrance of the poles confident that your dog will complete the poles and not pop.
